Carol Rosenstock Joins the APBD Research Foundation’s Board of Directors

March 26, 2026

The APBD Research Foundation is delighted to announce the appointment of Carol Rosenstock to its Board of Directors.

Carol Rosenstock

Carol has had an extensive, successful career in marketing in the technology sector and research and grants management in the academic sector. She has a wealth of experience working with providers, administrators, researchers, hospital systems, and non-profit organizations. She most recently served as a Senior Officer of Foundations Relations for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where she collaborated with both researchers and donors to advance cutting-edge scientific inquiry.

After being diagnosed with APBD in 2022, Carol became an active member in the APBD community. In 2024, she started volunteering  with the Foundation, applying her skills to communications, outreach efforts to help patients  sign up for the Clinical Research ID (CRID), and fundraising efforts for our annual Rally for Research campaign.

Carol currently calls Brookline, Massachusetts home, living with her husband and spending time with her two adult sons when they are in the area.

Jeff Levenson, DDS, the Foundation’s Co-President shared, "Turning promising science into treatments requires people who have navigated both the academic research world and know how to communicate what’s at stake for patients. Carol brings both, and her focus on our mission comes at exactly the right time.”

Emil Weiss, the Foundation’s Co-Founder and Co-President, added, “Working alongside academic researchers was a big part of Carol’s professional career. Now, she gets to apply those experiences as a rare disease leader, ‘working on the other side’ of the patient advocacy and research space. She will be a great addition to our diverse Board.”

Please join us in welcoming Carol to our Board of Directors!
