The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) recently awarded the APBD Research Foundation's co-president Dr. Jeff Levenson with the Lifelong Learning & Service Recognition (LLSR). He received this award along with 36 other LLSR recipients during the AGD’s scientific session in Las Vegas, NV on June 27, 2026.

AGD’s Lifelong Learning and Service and Recognition was created to further recognize the continued achievements of AGD awardees and formally acknowledge their dedication to remain current in their profession. To achieve this recognition, they completed more than 1,600 hours of continuing dental education in all disciplines of dentistry, including 550 hours dedicated to hands-on skills and techniques and more than 100 hours of dental related service to the community. Since its inception in 2005, only 588 of the AGD’s 40,000 members have received the prestigious Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition.

Emil Weiss, co-president of the APBD Research Foundation, shared, "We congratulate Dr. Levenson on receiving this exceptional honor. In addition to advancing his field of practice and raising a family in New York, he has been a driving force behind our Foundation since its launch in 2005. We are thankful for his steadfast commitment."
